April is National Poetry Month
The 5 W’s Form
Every year I meet up with my friends for National Poetry Month on our private Facebook Group. The moderator posts the form of the day, and our creativity takes over after that.
Today we’re using the 5 W’s form. That is, each line of the poem describes, Who, What, Where, When, and Why. That’s it. No matching of syllable counts, no rhyming. So here is one of my poems from today. To see more, go to Stephanie’s Website.
The Toad
Eating bugs with a quick flick of his tongue
In my back yard
In the sunny afternoon
To keep nature in balance as he eats his lunch
